Churchill and Langford are situated on the edge of the Mendips, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Mendips provide many opportunities for people who enjoy the great outdoors. Access to walks in the area can be found at Dolberrow where there are noticeboards showing routes. The Mendip Society have a programme of walks in the area throughout the year.

The Parish Council have invested in a children's play area and a skateboard park which provides recreation for children of all ages.

Churchill Parish Council provides information to the local community, but the clubs are external and not part of the Parish Council. 

The Churchill and Langford Village Fund is a dedicated group of people of all ages who live in the villages of Langford and Churchill. They organise local social events including The Summer Fete, Quiz Nights, and Race Nights and also give grant funding to event organisers in the local area. Watch this film to learn more.
