POLICE COMMUNITY ROADSHOWS / CONTACT : The local policing team will be available to residents at The Post Office, Front Street, Churchill, as follows:-

NEW BUS SERVICE (U2) : LANGFORD / CHURCHILL TO BRISTOL
There is now a new bus service (U2) that runs hourly between Langford / Churchill and Bristol between 8am and 6pm on week days. There is a FREE TRAVEL WEEK from Mon 18th February to Friday 22nd February during which all journeys are FREE. The poster of the service can be viewed here. The timetable can be viewed here.
West of England:JOINT SPATIAL PLAN : RESPONSE OF CHURCHILL PARISH COUNCIL The latest published version of the Joint Spatial Plan has Major Implications for the Parish of Churchill - with proposals for two new major roads and some 2800 houses. On 9th January 2018 the Parish Council sent their response to the document. The response form can be viewed here, and the accompanying letter can be viewed here.
In January 2019 the Parish Council made a further submission in response to the 'Technical Evidence' consultation. the response can be viewed here.
VACANCIES FOR PARISH COUNCILLORS : Vacancies for councillors have arisen on the Parish Council : As no election has been called by residents within the required time frame these vacancies can now be filled by co-option. Any resident of the Parish who is interested in becoming a councillor is invited to contact the Chair-Councillor Mrs Jackie Bush,any member of the council, or the Clerk.
IMPORTANT ROAD CLOSURE : Dinghurst Road (A368) from traffic lights junction with A38 to the junction with Front Street, Churchill. Road closed to all traffic FROM 8pm FRIDAY 1ST MARCH TO 6AM MONDAY 4TH MARCH 2019..
In the coming months there are further potentially disruptive road closures in the Parish - see below section on Road Closures for details.
The Annual return for the Council Year 2017-18 (as required by The Accounts & Audit regulations 2015, and The Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014) has been approved by the external auditors (PKF Littlejohn LLP)

The Parish Council agreed the budget and precept for 2019-20 on the 14th January 2019. To view the budget click here
