 NEW  - Corporate Plan for North Somerset Council 

North Somerset Council are currently working on a new Corporate Plan.  The plan   will cover the period of 2019-23 and will set out:

A vision for North Somerset

Aims and priorities for the area and the local authority as an organisation

Action plans highlighting the actions and projects to deliver key priorities

ELECTION OF PARISH COUNCIL COUNCILLORS W.E.F. 2ND MAY 2019 :- The election of Parish Councils taking place on 2nd May 2019 has resulted in 9 nominations for Churchill (Total seats 13).  therefore the 9 nominated persons have been elected without contest.  You can view the notice of those elected here.

Recently, 2 Councillors have been co-opted This means that there are now 2 vacancies on the Parish Council as of December 2019.  Any residents who feel they could assist by joining the council as a co-opted member please contact the Chairman or Clerk.

West of England:JOINT SPATIAL PLAN : RESPONSE OF CHURCHILL PARISH COUNCIL The latest published version of the Joint Spatial Plan has Major Implications for the Parish of Churchill - with proposals for two new major roads and some 2800 houses.  On 9th January 2018 the Parish Council sent their response to the document. The response form can be viewed here, and the accompanying letter can be viewed here.

In January 2019 the Parish Council made a further submission in response to the 'Technical Evidence' consultation.  the response can be viewed here. 




 The Annual Governance and Accountability Return for the Council Year 2018-19 (as required by The Accounts & Audit regulations 2015, and The Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014) was submitted to the external auditors (PKF Littlejohn LLP)  The full annual return can be viewed here.

The Certificate of Completion issued by PKF Littlejohn has now been received and can be viewed here

The Parish Council agreed the budget and precept for 2020-21 on the 13th January 2020.  To view the budget click here
